    Cap & Hat Embroidery Digitizing

A cap file is not a shirt file shrunk down. Caps are curved, the fabric is stabilised by a buckram front, and the machine works from the centre outward on a tubular frame. Get any of that wrong and you get gaps at the seam, letters that lean, and a design that creeps up the crown. We digitize caps as caps — from $8, back with you in 12–24 hours.

    Centre-out sequencing

Cap frames stitch outward from the middle. Files sequenced for flat goods push fabric ahead of the needle and open gaps at the centre seam.

    Built for the crown curve

Designs are shaped and compensated for a curved surface so lettering stays level instead of arcing as it climbs.

    Seam-aware layout

We place elements so the centre seam falls between shapes rather than through the middle of a letter.

    Every cap format

DST, PES, JEF, EXP and more — plus separate files for structured and unstructured caps if you run both.

    How it works

    1

Send the logo and cap type

Tell us structured or unstructured, front / side / back, and the finished width. 2–2.75 inches is the usable front on most caps.

    2

    We digitize for the frame

Cap-specific underlay, pull compensation for the curve, and centre-out sequencing.

    3

    Run it

Files land in your inbox and dashboard. Test one cap before the run — we'll revise free if anything needs adjusting.
