What is embroidery digitizing?

Why can't I just use my JPG or PNG logo on an embroidery machine?

Because those files are made of pixels, and a machine sews stitches. It needs stitch instructions — where every needle goes and in what order — not an image. That translation is exactly what digitizing does.

Do you hand-digitize or use auto software?

Every design is hand-digitized by an experienced digitizer. Auto-digitizing software is fast but guesses at density, underlay, and sequencing, which is why those files often pucker or break thread. Hand work is what keeps your logo clean on the garment.

Will the file work on my machine?

Yes. We deliver for Tajima, Barudan, Brother, Babylock, Janome, Bernina, Melco, Husqvarna/Pfaff and more. If you're unsure which format you need, just tell us the machine.

What artwork should I send?

The cleaner the better. Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) are ideal; a large, sharp PNG or JPG works well too. If all you have is a small image, we can still work with it — we'll just clean it up first.

Yes — the file is yours to keep and reuse however you like.

What backing options are available?

Iron-on, sew-on, hook-and-loop (Velcro-style), and adhesive. Sew-on is the most durable; iron-on is quick for cotton; hook-and-loop is great for gear you swap patches on.

Do I get a proof before production?

Yes. You'll see a proof to approve before we make anything, and we revise it free until it's right.
